Dried sage what kind?

I want to make a bread stuffing and the recipe calls for dried sage. Would this mean ground or crumbled sage leaves or does it matter?

    It just depends on how dominate you want the sage to be in the recipe....crumbled is not as fine as ground but technically it doesn't matter which one you use.

      I've always used ground sage in bread stuffing recipes.
