Source for gypsum powder in ArLex/Camberville?

I'm looking for a small quantity (tablespoons) of gypsum powder to try my hand at making tofu from scratch. Tried a pharmacy but they were clueless. Any thoughts?

Modern Brewer homebrew shop on Mass Ave should have it.

Perfect - you're the best, LStaff! I called MB and they have 2oz and 1lb containers. I also called Maida in Arlington and they have never heard of it and can't order it. :-(

Yup. I just bought gypsum from Modern Brewer, actually, to make a clone of the old Sam Adams Longshot Hazelnut Ale. MB has tons of supplies that beermakers (and others!) might find handy, including Irish moss, all kinds of yeast, gypsum, cocoa beans, extracts, etc.

You should try an old pharmacy. Im sure an older druggist can source it for you.
Try the one on Mass av in arlington. I forget the name, but, it is about 1/4 mile in from 16.
Also there is a drugstore right outside Inman Sq. You also might try the Asian Markets.
