Caputo 00 Flour in Charlotte, NC?

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a store in Charlotte (or the surrounding areas) where I can purchase Caputo 00 Flour? I'd rather not have to order it online.

I understand not wanting to get it online but there is definitely a benefit to not having to lug home 10 or 15 pounds of flour, which is what I usually get. LaCuisine in Alexandria, VA sells different kinds of Caputo 00. I've always gotten Caputo Rosa for pizza and been very happy with it. They break down the 55 pound bag into 5 pound bags and shipping isn't outrageous. They are quite knowledgeable and stock many interesting products. I always enjoy talking to them.

I've always had to order my Caputo 00 online from pennmac, along with KASL & all the rest of my pizza making ingredients. I've kept an eye out and not seen Caputo anywhere in the Charlotte or Chapel Hill area, unfortunately.

Have you tried Ferucci's Old Thyme Italian Market in Cornelius or Pasta & Provisions on Providence Rd? According to Pasta & Provisions website they do carry 1 lb bags of 00 flour, I don't know if it's Caputo.

I phoned Pasta & Provisions today, because I have wanted to try 00 flour next time I make pasta. Good news, they carry Caputo.

I'm in the Chapel Hill area and have been buying Lindley Mill's Italian 00 flour directly from them in Graham, NC. I believe they mill this flour for King Arthur. I've been very happy with it. You could check and see if they distribute it to anyone in the Charlotte area. You could also ask Peter Reinhart, who teaches there in Charlotte at Johnson and Wales. I bet he'd know if and where you could get it locally.
