Bachelorette party for over 40's
Need suggestions for apps and drinks kind of places. No sit down dinners please. Possibly small plates. Quartino? Cafe Iberico?
Would like to go to a few places. Perhaps nibbles and drinks. More cocktails. Maybe dessert?
Thanks

if sushi or asian is appealing- then I'd also suggest Sunda or even Sushi Samba Rio. Depending on the size of your group though, you'll need to think about logistics and how crowded a lot of the more popular places will be, which may make it more difficult to get a table or seating at the bar, if that's what you're interested in. and then also consider whether you want to pick a couple places that are within walking distance of each other or you don't mind cabbing from place to place.

I would second the Publican and the Gage. Also good is La Madia. There's a smallish trendy bar area in the front and they have lots of great appetizers and fun drinks. Keep in mind the area is small, though, so depending on how many of you there are, that could pose a problem.
Another idea is Girl and the Goat. I was there a few weeks ago and I really really liked the bar area - perfect for something like this.

Not sure if you want to sit at the bar and have nibbles and drinks or be at your own table and just not go for a full dinner.
That being said, the gastropub trend is right up your alley.
Consider:
Publican
The Bristol
The Gage
Longman & Eagle
Purple PigFor bites and good drinks Qartino and Iberico are ok, but I much prefer Mercat a la Planca for tapas. More upscale. Better atmosphere. Better drinks. Better food.
