Crab Cakes & Steamed Blue Crabs in Baltimores Inner Harbor

PeteDelfino Oct 8, 2010 07:32 AM

Visiting the Inner Harbor this weekend, Oct 9 & 10.

Would appreciate suggestions on finding the best crab cakes and blue crabs
close to the Inner Harbor.

    Hot button topic around here.

Personally I think the best crabcakes anywhere are at Captain Larry's. This is probably a short cab ride from the harbor as opposed to a walk.

LP Steamers has good crabs (and a pretty good crabcake) and is close to Captain Larry's. Obrycki's is a pretty famous crabhouse as well.

I get jokes. But the OP might not understand you're being funny. Pete, run don't walk...away from Phillips.

This is a frequently asked question, and the answer is generally that there are no good crabs around the Inner Harbor area.

Many people would suggest Mr Bills, which is maybe a 15-20 minute drive east of the harbor, but the best thing for you to do would be to search the board for recommendations.

BTW, good crab cake & good crabs are often not found in the same place.
