I'm flying into Laguardia tomorrow around 10:00 and am driving to a wedding in Stamford. Hoping to grab a good brunch/lunch in a convenient spot. Is Dim Sum in Flushing a no-brainer? Are they options I should be considering. For past posts, I was leaning toward Jade Asian and/or the food stalls at the mall.

thanks!

  1. Personally I don't think the dim sum in Flushing is all that.

I would go to Little Pepper. (Szechuan in Flushing. Search board for numerous mentions. Cumin lamb one of best plates of food in the city.)

You can also do a Flushing walking tour. Get some Szechuan. Dim sum / dumplings if you want. Soup dumplings at Nan Xiang Xiao Long Bao. Duck buns on Main St (possibly best $1 item in North America -- http://www.bionicbites.com/2010/09/du...). Lamb sandwich at Xi'an. (http://www.xianfoods.com/menu.php)

All of this stuff is in a quarter-mile radius and you could happily feed yourself in an hr. Gorge yourself in 2.

Or for an entirely different route, the Pepe's outpost in Yonkers. http://www.pepespizzeria.com/directio...
