Palm Springs Recommendations

Haven't been to Palm Springs in awhile...what are your favorite standbys and what's new and good?

Jakes its great, so is Cheeky's. Escena is good too, mostly because of the amazing mountain views, and patio overlooking the golf course. Some of the old standbys, are Leon's, great dining room in South Palm Springs, old-school type of restaurant, always good.

For breakfast and lunch, check out Rick's, Cheeky's, Jake's or King's Highway.
Rick's is well done diner fare. You'll find more interesting choices at Cheeky's and Jake's.
King's Highway is in a Googie coffee shop on the hipster Ace Hotel property.

For dinner downtown, we enjoy Matchbox Pizza. Matchbox has interesting beer choices and thin wood-fired pizza. Both are offered at a substantial discount at their nightly happy hour.

Zin and their sister restaurant Zini Cafe are also great choices downtown. Zini offers reasonable priced tapas that make a good choice for a light dinner.

Are you looking for anything in particular?

For a reasonable and fresh breakfast, try Elmer's. Marguarita's is great for dinner and drinks.
