checking into the lowes on saturday and then meeting some friends for lunch (dinner that night is at dante's kitchen)...thinking cochon butcher or maybe a po boy to go from somewhere? thanks...looking for delicious and not fancy or expensive.
Go to Central Grocery and pick up a Muffaletta. Sit on a bench in Jackson Square or the park along the Mississippi River and have lunch. Or pick up a po boy at Johnny's. Mena's has good po boys also. Napoleon House has reasonable good NOLA food and cold drinks. Gordon Biersch is next door and has good food, TV's and cold drinks. Cafe Adelaide in the Lowes is pretty nice but not cheap as po boys.
