How Much Food Will I need?

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but I'm having a get together off 100 people this weekend. We are having skirt steak, grilled chicken, salad, hamburgers, hotdogs and a hummus platter. Is there anyone out there who could recommend how much of each I should purchase? Thanks.

There are several sites that could help you figure out how much food you need. I catered a party for 100 with chicken skewers and salmon portions (6oz) and sides. I used 30lbs. of chicken and 20 lbs. of fish. We had plenty. Figure about 6-8 oz. of meat per person and go heavy on the sides!

That's generally good advice. I used to do some catering on the side out of my kitchen, and found that 1 lb. total of food per person was enough provided it was a typical mixed group. You could add a little more to be on the safe side, but you'll likely have leftovers. Of course if the OP's 100 people consist of college football players, more might be be called for.

As far as proportions among the items mentioned, that should follow an an assessment of the likely popularity of each.
