Recommendations near Intercontinential (waterfront)

I am going to be in Boston this weekend (staying at the Intercontinental) and am looking for recommendations for brunch on Sunday (nothing fancy, just solid brunch food) and also a sports bar (or just generally good bar) in the area. I am not sure if this is an area where restaurants/bars tend to be overpriced and touristy, and am hoping to avoid that scene.

Also, on Saturday night, I am going to be heading to the South End to Hamersley's - any recommendations for a place to get a nice cocktail before dinner?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Sel de la Terre's brunch is a tiny bit on the fancy side, but not over-the-top fancy:

It's a five- to 10-minute walk from the hotel.

For a bar, Lucky's Lounge is nearby. Good food and a funky overall vibe.

If you get there early enough (i.e., before the lines form), Beehive would be a great place for a pre-Hammersley's drink.

Thanks for the recommendations. I would up going to Beehive to drinks on Saturday night pre-dinner, and we had a great time. Great suggestion!
