Where can I buy duck breast (I don't need a whole frozen duck) in the DC metro area? Bethesda/Silver Spring/Wheaton would be best. H-Mart? Whole Foods? Balduccis? I'm clueless.

Thanks!

There might be better (haven't looked for a while) but Trader Joe's used to have frozen breasts.

Balducci's always has them - But they'll probably be the most expensive - From what I remember, around $15 for each breast half. I haven't seen them anywhere else, not to say that they aren't there.

You CAN break down a whole duck and use the rest for stock, fat, confit, etc - And save money - But the D'artagnan brand that Balducci's sells will end up to be much bigger, in my experience.

All the Wegman's sell D'Artagnan duck -- whole, breasts, fat, confit -- the whole line. They really are good.
