Oatmeal in Victoria BC

  • 5

I'm going to be in Victoria this weekend. Where can I find a decent bowl of oatmeal in the downtown area? (Doing the marathon and I 'm a creature of habit when it comes to breakfast...Wish there was a Pain Quotidien.)

  1. A few places: Lady Marmalade on Johnson St. (near Government), opens 8am - multi-grain oatmeal topped with cardamon apples & sour cream. Another is The Blue Fox on Fort St (east of Quadra St.), opens at 8am as well - can't find the menu on-line, but just called - two types - cranberry/apple and banana. I've had the banana one before and it's fabulous (and a large serving too). They also said they could do plain or serve items on the side, if requested. At that time in the morning, you wouldn't run into the biggest Blue Fox problem - the giant line-up. Don't know if either of those are early enough for you to eat and then run....good luck in the run.

Breakfast before the run will be a whole other thing, but I will definitely try these for breakfast the other days - thank you so much!

I ended up at Lady Marmalade two mornings in a row - it was great! Thanks Cassie!

Yes Rebar and Blue Fox are both great for a bowl of oatmeal! But I think the Empress is the best.... lol
