Girls spa weekend in Stowe, VT

  • 4

Celebrating a big birthday with a spa-hopping weekend in Stowe with 3 girlfiends in Mid November. Spending most of our money on spa treatments. Want to eat well, but NOT expensive. Can't afford Hen in the Wood, though wish we could. Any recommendations? Have heard good things about Blue Moon Cafe. Prefer eating with chefs who use local ingredients. HELP!

  1. Stebu Sushi is faboo. :) Also Muddy Paw is AWESOME and inexpensive, as is Juniper Fare. Oh and Park Row. All of these are in Waterbury but are not a very far drive.

    1. Blue Moon is supposed to be excellent, though I'm not sure the prices are that much cheaper than Hen of the Wood...if you are into Latin American, I would recommend Santos Cocina Latina, it's on the mountain road. Great food. On Main Street, Frida's is good as well and very reasonable. Solstice at Spruce Peak is great but can get pricey depending on what you order.

        1. The Shed Restaurant and Brewery has reasonable food including outstanding salads, sandwiches, BBQ and burgers. Gracie's is casual resonable and fun for dinner serving salads, sandwiches, BBQ, seafood and steaks. Go for half price specials at happy hour. Cactus Cafe is a fun place for reasonable Mexican. Blue Moon is closed until December 10th.
