Joe's has the best pizza in Santa Monica, but for delivery folks may want to consider Bravo. I'm NOT from NY and I'm not saying it's the best or anything, but the pizza is very good, the folks that answer the phone are totally nice and the delivery is prompt (and, us non-NY people think think the pizza is great - but, I know the crust is much more doughy than the NY variety).

re: TracyO
Bravo place link Just a note. After looking at their website (if the information is still good?) they are open from 10:30 AM until 3:30 AM on Friday and Saturday's and until 1:30 AM the rest of the week. That is pretty great for the westside. No, let me retract that. It IS great for the west side and even for other parts of LA as well.

re: foodiemahoodie
Probably not (although if you offered them enough of a "delivery premium" you never know) but the OP did ask about the west side, so I figured that this is definitely a good information bite for this thread in general (all thanks to TracyO) and to inform those who come to this thread in the future about a great late night option.

re: Servorg
He did say west side in OP - but quickly qualified it as Brentwood. I tried to them to my place - in S.M., but they said no, and no mention of "delivery premium". (some places I find will do that, sometimes they'll just deliver it anyway without a premium, but I'm not talking about Bravo. ) But they do have very good pizza.

"He did say west side in OP - but quickly qualified it as Brentwood."
I go at these threads with a longer term value in mind. The next poster that comes along asking about west side delivery options will undoubtedly be looking for some other delivery area preference, and then someone can point them at this little treasure trove of pizza 411.

I know you're looking for pizza on the westside, but the absolute best NY style pizza I've ever had is at Mulberry Street Pizzeria in Beverly Hills. They use the perfect combo of grease, cheese, tomato sauce and meat. Don't quite know how they do it. It must be magic! I have a pic of their pizza on my site: http://gourmetmiser.blogspot.com

Late to the thread, but in my mind, NY & C Pizza is the best pizza delivery on the westside.

Lamonica's Pizza in Westwood Village has good New York style pizza and does deliver. This link shows their delivery area Beverly Glen to the east, Bundy to the West, Olympic to the south and Sunset Blvd to the North.

I don't know if they deliver, but I recently tried Pitfire Pizza, on the Mar Vista / Culver City line and it was really decent. Definitely more like a NY crust than the bagel type crust of Abbot's.

Pitfire Pizza is very good but does not deliver but you can order on line and grab and go. Their store on Westwood Blvd is the closest to Brentwood.

Pitfire does deliver but not west of the 405. They have on occasion delivered to me for a $15 fee - but then again i ordered 10 pies.
Santa Monica Pizza Kitchen is really good as is Dagwood's. Not sure where in the 9049 you are but they are worth a try.

That a pretty large area. What zip code might be a better parameter for this exercise. And more speciifcs on what type of pizza you think is best? NY? Chicago Deep Dish (good luck with that one) or ????

Have you ever tried Abbot's? I don't know about the delivery area for their Santa Monica store on Pico Blvd. across from SM College, but it might be worth the try.

Miss the original Maria's greatly! With their 3" dia pepperoni.. sigh..
I don't think there is anything particularly special for delivery in the area. I usually get San Genaro or Frankie and Johnnies. Pizzicotto is better, but they do take out.

Space still empty. San Genarro still crappy. Toscana makes good pizza but doesn'r deliver. Pity. Because it is the best in the neighborhood. 90049 Maria's is beloved by folks under the age of 14.:)
