Something like Curry House

I've been craving some Curry House but I have to admit. It is overpriced and I'm looking for other options.

I'm looking for the OC area, Los Angeles area and even all the way out to Riverside,Corona, Rancho Cucamonga, Diamond Bar, Rowland Heights area.

I'm also looking for some chunky curry with huge potatoes in it.

A couple of the stalls in Mitsuwa in Torrance makes some good curry.

Tapioca Express has a pork or chicken cutlet curry including a small iced tea for $5.99.
Comes with lots of rice, corn and cabbage...no potatoes. Only other drawback is they only serve it with mild curry. Otherwise it's a deal and filling.

This reminds me...you can always get decent curry from L&L, Maui Hawaiian BBQ or Ono Hawaiian BBQ.

Foo Foo Tei in Hacienda Heights has an awesome curry.

I concur, I rarely eat curry outside because most Japanese places don't even bother to make it good. Forget Curry House it is a sham and the curries mostly suck.

I like Foo Foo Tei for their traditional take on Japanese curry. Despite that they are a ramen-ya they do other hot foods justice as well.
