Pilsner Urquell

Hi all,

I remember several years ago being able to find this beer at Métro Joanette on De L'Église in Verdun. I went there this past weekend and the selection has shrunk considerably, the same selection I can find at the Métro close to home. I also checked Dépanneur Grand Duc in Longueuil (to no avail).

Does anyone know of a depanneur/SAQ that has this beer? Thanks in advance.

There is a depanneur called "Rhaman le roi de la biere", at 151 avenue Laurier west ( 514) 276-6982. This depanneur has one of the most selective brand of beers in town. Try it. Cheers!

Oups ... the phone number is (514) 279-2566.

It disappeared from grocery stores some time ago (about a year?). I heard around that time that the SAQ had relisted it as an "SAQ only" product, but it is no longer on the SAQ site at all. So it may have lost distribution in Quebec.

Curious to know if you find any; please post again if you do.

Pity, I used to drink it many years ago and always enjoyed it. I was thinking of buying some after drinking a Bierbrier Pilsner at Brit and Chips the other day. Can't say I'm overly fond of the Bierbrier....

The SAQ does carry Czechvar Premium ($3.15 for 500 ml). Good stuff, though not, to my palate, quite as good as a fresh bottle of Urquell.

Hey all, thanks for your replies! I did go and check out Rahman. While there were quite a lot of beers (mostly Quebec microbrewery) Pilsner Urquell was not among them.

I'll still keep my eyes peeled for this one. How does a beer-guzzling city not have one of the originals?!

I think I saw this at the IGA Extra in Ile Bizard yesterday...
