Turducken
Anyone know where to get a turducken in Montreal for this weekend?

I know our local Price Chopper offers Turducken at $60 I would think the Price Choppers close to Montreal would offer it. Speaking as a Montrealer I would not think Turducken would find much of a market in the city even among US ex-pats. It really seems way over the top and I'm getting ready to make my Haggis for Robbie Burns Day.

True Price Chopper is an American chain with no stores in Quebec, but Sobeys has a line of stores called Price Chopper in Ontario and Atlantic Canada (but none in Stanstead I think...)

The closest Price Chopper to Montreal would be in Champlain, NY

You can go to http://www.lacrawfish.com/ It might not be the cheapest option but they are pretty good. They deliver to Canada without a problem. They arrive frozen so factor that in when you have it delivered to give it time to thaw for this weekend.

I agree, if you want something more "authentic" maybe do the mail-order thing. Kyle Leblanc crawfish
http://www.crawdads.net/prices/#Crawfish
has them for $95USD plus shipping.
On a side note, Price Chopper (think Plattsburgh or Champlain) has them frozen around American Thanksgiving - BUT they suck. Only a breast of turkey tie-wired to a breast of chicken and duck with some facsimile of stuffing between the layers...don't be fooled.-

also you can find turducken at http://www.railwaydeli.com/ in alberta, i have try it last year and find it very good.

restaurant or butcher ?
Me think you could go to a "real" butcher (i.e. not a supermarket one) and order it (Vito, Romano, ... )
As for restaurants, don't know, you could maybe contact places like "La Salle à Manger" or "Au Pied de Cochon" or DNA (I think I saw something to that nature on their web site, but don't take my word for it )
Max.

re: Maximilien
I'm looking for a butcher so I can cook it at home. I'll try to contact some butchers, but i'm looking for the real deal with the layers of stuffing all wrapped up and ready to go. If anyone has ever come across this in Montreal, let me know. I've done an extensive google search and haven't come up with anything.
