Recommendations for lunch?

  • 6

I'll be in Chicago for business next week (13th - 15th) but find myself completely free for lunch on Friday. I'll be alone and want to treat myself to one of Chicago's best. So what would you recommend? I'm completely open to any ideas, but just want great food. If Alinea was open for lunch, I'd be there in a second. I see that Frontera/Topolobampo are open for lunch. What else?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Table 52 doesn't do lunch, according to their website....

Best fancy lunch I've had in Chicago was Blackbird - Chef Kahan was in the kitchen and it was wonderful. Topolobampo also served a superb lunch, as does Cafe Spiaggia and David Burke's Primehouse.

Let us know how it goes - and if they are offering a roasted prep of Foie Gras don't miss it.
