Lunch suggestion for Nice on a Monday

We are cruising and with a port of call in Monaco, plan to train over to Nice for at least part of the day. Since we don't have long, we don't want to spend hours eating, but I would like to lunch somewhere with great food and atmosphere that's unique to the area. Any ideas? Thanks! I LOVE this site!

  1. This one is not easy. The restaurants we would normally recommend are not open for Monday lunch (except Luc Salsedo.) The market in the Cours Saleya is a big flea market on Mondays. If that appeals to you, you could take the train to Nice and then the tram to Old Nice. The 100 bus from Monaco to Nice would probably be a lot closer on both ends and you would see more. You can just wander in Old Nice and pick a likely spot for lunch. Frankly, if I were you, I would just stay in Monaco for the day.

    1. I'm in the exact same boat. Will be docking in Nice on October 18th. Have you found anything yet?
