Bunn's BBQ Windsor NC flooded

Forgive me if this has been discussed but I just saw the horrible images of the flooding in Windsor, NC from 20+ inches of rain that fell Wed/Thu/Fri of this week. I had heard that Windsor was underwater but assumed that meant some areas, not downtown. WSOC tv Charlotte aired today at noon images of Windsor and the last shot was Bunn's beautiful old gas station half way under water. I am sick. Of course this tradegy is way bigger than a bbq restaurant but true to this board's purpose I had to post.
Those of us who loved to sit at the counter and watch the women serve and banter with regulars know the loss I feel. Let's all hope and pray for recovery for all of the residents of Windsor, the owners and employees of Bunn's, and all the flood stricken areas.

Wife is from that area and still has family and close friends there. Russ and his family are good, hardworking people. Their restaurant is an eastern NC institution. Fran and Floyd hit them hard; this is something that is almost as bad. Hopefully they will recover.

I pray God's blessings on those affected by this flood.

Most of Windsor proper is underwater. The river isn't far from downtown.
