Off the Grid coming to UN Plaza

Off the Grid will launch its fifth location on Thursday, October 7 at UN Plaza, in support of the Arts Market. It will be the same hours as the Friday Civic Center Plaza event, 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM but twice the size, with up to 10 food trucks. The exact lineup has yet to be determined, but is expected to include the newcomer Little Green Cyclo Vietnamese street food truck and the Senor Sisig truck, according to Matt Cohen of Off the Grid.

All of OtG's events are planned to be year-round, except for the Fort Mason Center event, which will have a Winter hiatus from mid-November until March.

  1. I just went for the first time to this location on Monday. Had one taco from Sr. Sisig, one from Seoul on Wheels. The bulgogi from Seoul was a bit too sweet for me, and the drizzle of crema (or sour cream) did really nothing for the taco. The Sr. Sigig pork taco was delicious, with little diced peppers that had no real heat but lots of flavor - fresh, tangy. It was also a bigger portion than the Korean taco, and the meat had a good deep savory flavor, and slightly larger tortillas. There were 2-3 other trucks there (Chairman Bao and i forget what else) that day, and only very short lines. I found it very pleasant to sit in UN Plaza on a bright, sunny, albeit really cold day. Definitely want to try more things at Sisig.

Just to confirm: Off the Grid was at UN Plaza on Monday 2/28? They're usually there on Thursdays only--do you know if this is a new schedule?
