Eloping in Ontario...Hotels/InnsB&Bs with amazing restaurant.
Fiance and I are considering eloping within Ontario (we live in Vaughan).
We are open to any area really, but Niagara On The Lake, Stratford, and the Muskokas come to mind for their peaceful, quaint, romantic appeal.
Anybody have a location that is a great combo of accommodation and restaurant?
Can anybody recommend a place to have our elopement dinner in NOTL? I've come across the Vintage Hotels, Shaw Hotel and the Oban Inn that look promising.
Other ideas?

My wife and I stayed at the Little Inn at Bayfield right after our wedding... three years ago today. It was a gorgeous setting, a fantastic inn, and the food was excellent. I suspect the area gets very busy during the summer. But over the Thanksgiving long weekend it was quiet but still alive.

We've stayed at the Oban Inn. Great spa, great room, great meal. Right by the lake and park in NOTL (Tony DeLuca was at the helm of the restaurant, not sure if this is still the case). We did a very indulgent package and it was definitely a memorable couple of days. And soooo relaxing.

I just thought of an awesome place for you. Drew House B&B in Elora. I've stayed there a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The owner is a chef from Basque France, his cooking is top notch. They've got a 19th century coachhouse that would be beautiful for a small reception. I've a feeling that they would charge you very reasonable rates, based on my experience there. Not to mention Elora is a beautiful village.

This might be a little too intimate as it's not a "restaurant" per se, but just putting forward one option in Stratford - during the off season, the folks at the Old Rectory B&B do special dinners at guest request: http://www.oldrectorystratford.com/be...
Though we only had their breakfasts (during the Festival season), those were among our best meals of the trip. The couple that runs the place are both fab cooks (I think Kevin, the husband, has a culinary background). So if you're looking for very romantic and intimate, you might consider this place!
In NOTL, you could still consider Stone Road Grille as there are a number of lovely B&Bs on Mary Street (Wine Regions of Ontario B&B does a good breakfast) within 3 minutes walking.

After my husband and I got married in Toronto we headed over to Niagara-on-the-Lake and stayed at the Shaw Club. We splurged on the King Suite and dined at Zee's. After a few bottles of wine and stuffing ourselves silly with good food it was nice to be able to roll back to our room. We had a fantastic time.

The Merril Inn in Picton is a terrific place with a great restaurant, easy walk to shops in town and other great places to eat. See http://www.merrillinn.com/
