Toronto restaurant with private room for small weding?
Hello!
First CH post so I hope all goes well :) I have a bunch of questions so I thought it would be best to split them up into various topics.
Fiance and I are undecided about what to do for our wedding, we want to keep it small.
We keep flip flopping between a ceremony/cocktain reception at The Rosehill for 65 ppl, eloping (in Ontario), or having a small event for 20 ish people in the GTA.
Yesterday while walking around Yorkville and the Yonge/Bloor area we were inspired by all the little restaurants and lovely old buildings.
Finally, here is my question:
Can anyboyd recommend some of the top Toronto restaurants that may have a private room? Something that could accommodate about 20 people so that we could have a more intimate dinner after a private ceremoney elsewhere in the city. Something that wouldn't need a lot of decorating on the inside (that's one thing we love about The Rosehill--its sexy enough on the inside to not need much decor).
Thanks!

Do you want Yorkville specifically? If you are willing to go a little southeast, George has beautiful private rooms.

If you are looking for Yorkville / Rosehill specifically, you may want to look at Sopra (more modern feel) or Malena (which is in a really nice old building). They can both accomodate up to 20 and I have attended events there recently. The Rosehill is a great space but both food and service can be very spotty. Also in Yorkville would be Il Posto Nuovo (though haven't been there in years)

re: The Macallan 18
Thanks. I'm not sure what you meant about food at The Rosehill being spotty....they don't serve food, you have to bring in your own caterer for which I was considering Daniel et Daniel. Also, after meeting with the manager Kirby, I have no concerns that their service or that of the caterer would be questionable.
