Couple Questions Re Musha in SM

My sister is coming to town and we are thinking about going to Musha. I have a couple of questions though. Is it okay to take a 2 1/2 year old there? He does well in restaurants, but usually uses a high chair. Also, I have a shellfish allergy and am sort of limited by the fact that I'm pregnant (not eating sushi). Do you think they are able to accommodate/handle the shellfish issue? Our other option is Persian food. Many thanks.

After all that, we ended up at Umami burger; however, I do plan to try Musha in the near future!

What did you have at the U? I love their triple pork burger.

I had the Umami burger (first time, so wanted to try it). Husband and sister both had the manly burger. We also had fries, sweet potato fries, cheesy tots and onion rings (too many sides!). Our 2 1/2 year old (who uses fries as a vehicle for eating ketchup) enjoyed getting his own Umami ketchup!

I'll start...
Their spicy tuna dip served with rice crackers is delicious!
Their pure tofu is very special; the silky texture is remarkable.
They used to torch a fish at your table -- I think it was mackerel, but I don't see it on their menu. Do ask for it. If they still do it, it is not to be missed!

went a month ago and they had the torched mackeral...it'll suck if they removed it cause that dish was very good!

They also often have special, love the Poke & any meat items when they appear on the specials menu! :)

yes and yes.

musha is very accommodating and the handful of times i have gone there have been babies in tow at other tables.

I can second this, they are incredibly SWEET on both counts... two notes though...

1) It does get loud the later you go so it would be better for the tot to eat early. Less stimulation and bother for him...

2) be sure to let them know upfront about the shellfish, I mistakenly took a Vegetarian there and they use a LOT of fish stock. But they were totally able to accomidate her since we mentioned it at ordering. They even made her a couple special dishes. :D

Again, they RULE! :D Enjoy your meal!!
