Rehoboth in October
The family (seven adults) gathering in Rehoboth for a mini reunion. Need help with sources for cheese, wine, good bread (and breakfast goodies?). Also, any don't-miss places for one special dinner?
We haven't been there in ten years so I'm sure many things have changed. We look forward to trying new things. Thanks for your help!
We just had a wonderful catered event in Rehoboth Beach that was catered by Nourish (a family event for 10 adults and 7 kids). The quality, freshness, creativity and appearance of the food was so much more than I had any right to expect, considering I was ordering based on the website and not a particular friend's recommendation. I have to believe that their prepared foods would be equally good. Jane and Deberah were just excellent to work with as well. Best dishes: tamari grilled salmon, yukon gold potatoes with shitake mushrooms, key lime cheesecake. Amazing. I'll definitely be calling them again next time I'm in the area.
Special Dinner = Nage, hands down. I like Kindle as well, but it is a distant second for me. I second the rec for Touch of Italy. They are slated to open a full service version on 2nd in Lewes sometime this fall. Not sure when the Lewes Farmers Market ends, but it is a great place for bread, cheese and other baked goods.

Hi, Caitlinhc. Nourish is wonderful for cheese and so much else. It is on the left as you enter Rehoboth off the highway. Across the street and behind Crystal is a wonderful bakery called Pasqualini's. On Baltimore Avenue in Rehoboth is an Italian Deli called A Touch of Italy. In Lewes on the highway is Surf Bagel.
Bin 66 would be a convenient stop for wine in Rehoboth but on the highway in Lewes is a larger store you might like called Cape Wine and Spirits.
For your one special dinner I recommend you read the comments here. Also, check out these two sites:
Grub Grocery had a decent selection of cheese if I recall. Also the market which is right on the circle as you come in on Rehoboth Ave. which I can't recall the name of. Bin 66 in the building where Cultured Pearl is has a large wine cellar with a friendly staff.
For a special dinner, I would recommend Espuma hands down. There are plenty of great meals to be had in Rehoboth, but none come close to Espuma. The menu is always changing and we have never been disappointed by anything we've had. I highly recommend the Three Day Pork as an entree.
