Ceres' Table Reviews?

Has anyone been to Ceres' Table yet, and if so, have any opinions? I am thinking of picking it for my dinner club pick next month and it looks fantastic but I've noticed it hasn't been discussed on the boards here yet. I'd think it would be by now.

Any comments appreciated! My friends and I are early 30th and go out each month to try different things - we have been everywhere from Caro Mio to L20 with our dinner club. Just as long as the food is awesome, we're happy!

I have to disagree. I ate there a month back and won't return. Our server was rude and clearly didn't want to be there. I ordered a cocktail that tasted bad and told the server who scowled at us and proceeded to go to the bartender and point at us while they talked about us. The entrees were just ok. Anteprima up the street has similar fare with a far better result. The only highlight was the rice ball appetizer.

Food and service have been good when I've been there also. The noise level is incredibly high, however, making conversation at anything less than a shouting level difficult. I recently read that the owner is taking steps (ceiling tile?) to help reduce the volume so maybe the situation has improved somewhat.

We are visiting Chicago and just ate as Ceres' Table two nights ago...it is fabulous! I started with the warm squash salad which is a base of cooked squash topped with duck sausage and frisee with a wonderful dressing. I had duck for the main accompanied with, hmm was is squash gnocchi? Anyway, every taste was delicious. I strongly recommend it. It is on Clark just north of Lawrence, south of Ainslie. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome Food. Great Affordable wine list. This is one of my partner and my favorite places to eat.
Friendly service coupled with food you can't believe your eating somewhere between Uptown and Andersonville.
