Sichuan Gourmet - Framingham - Questions and What to order?
- Dave MP Sep 30, 2010 08:56 PM
I'm going to Sichuan Gourmet in Framingham for the first time tomorrow night, and I had a few questions.
It seems like there are quite a few recommendations in this thread.
Has anything major changed there in the past 6 months?
Also, are there multiple menus, or are all the dishes on one big menu? I'm excited to try it out....will report back

the sichuan dishes are on the main menu. there is also a laminated insert with specials. some of my favorite dishes are...
wontons in chili oil
roast beef, tripe, and tendon in chili oil
cucumber with garlic in chili oil
bamboo shoots with spicy wonder sauce
dan dan noodles
double cooked bacon
dried chicken in chili sauce
lamb with cumin
sichuan style string beans
My favorite there is the Old Sichuan Chicken. The chicken itself is moist and delicious, quite spicy and delicately fried, but the sauce with a pickled cabbage slaw is just amazing.
The cold wood ears appetizer. It's not always on the menu, but they always seem to have it when I ask.
ha ha, we just got back from Billerica's Sichuan Gourmet and had our favs: dan dan noodles, wontons in chili sauce. We tried a new fish dish but like our xing la fish better. We also love the scallion pancakes for a break for the heat, dried beef, old sichuan chix, cold noodles, the wings......I could go on and on.........
