  1. Ernst Cafe and Grand Isle come immediately to mind.

    Grand Isle Restaurant
575 Convention Center Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70130

    1. Lucy's Bar. You may run into Drew Brees. Gordon Biersch is a lot of fun too. You can watch the game at either.

      Lucy's Bar @ 701 Tchoupitoulas St., New Orleans, LA 504 - 523 - 8995.
      Gordon Biersch @ 200 Poydras Street, New Orleans, LA 504 - 552 - 2739.

how often has Brees actually gone to Lucy's Bar?

He's probably been there once...oh no wait he goes there before every homegame and throws down...ya thats it.

He went there once after the victory parade. That's when the "it's Brees's favorite bar" chatter began.

        2. thanks for the suggestions. i think Grand Isle is just what i am looking for. i will hit Lucy's afterwards for a drink

two nearby options that are a bit more blue collar (lunch only (or breakfast, but no dinner)):

            312 St Charles Ave

            300 Camp St

If Lucy's is packed, as is usually the case, head across the street to Vic's.

What's the food like at Vic's. Thanks.

Vic's is good for drinkin' not eatin'. Though they're Shepherd's Pie will do in a pinch.

            2. is ACME a good place for poboys and some gumbo too? or is it too touristy
