Looking for a place for a cocktail this evening

It's our wedding anniversary and we planned an evening at the shore - we are dining at Whispers. I had thought we'd be taking a nice stroll on the beach but alas that is not happening this evening! Any place we can have a pre dinner cocktail? I'm blanking out. We are coming from Freehold area. I was thinking Langosta Lounge but I'm open to any ideas.
Thanks!

Had an excellent time at the bar at The Trinity & The Pope. Sazerac for me, wine for her, split a small plate to go along. Will be back.

I recommend the Mill in Spring Lake. A nice lounge overlooking the lake and $ 5 premium martinis that begins at 4PM. Half price appies as well. Click on the happy hour box in the lower right corner of the website.

I recommend Moonstruck, on Lake Avenue. Half off drinks - highly recommend the Moonstruck martini - 4:00-6:00 Wednesday through Friday (half off appetizers in lounge and restaurant as well). Nice ambience and great service.

The "Tides Martini" at The Tides Hotel will knock your socks off.

We ended up at Langosta for cocktails and fried olives. Will keep these other ideas in mind for next time.
Is that the Tides Hotel in Asbury? Haven't been in there.

If you're ok with Asbury Park, the Dauphin in the lobby of the Berkeley Carteret Hotel has a decent cocktail menu...dark and trendy kind of feel.

You might want to try the Watermark which is a few doors down from Langosta.

thought of that too but they don't open until 5 which will then make us late for dinner. we ended up making the dinner resv. earlier than planned due to the weather.
              thanks!
