nassau county restaurant for bridal shower

I am planning a bridal shower for a friend in Nassau County, Long Island for about 35 people. I am limited in type of food because many of the older guests would eat only American food. Italian, Mexican, etc. are not options. Can anyone recommend a restaurant with a private room that would not cost more than $35 a person. Thanks so much.

Jonathan's in New Hyde Park/Mineola has a party room and does a great job for showers- even has a seperate exit for schlepping all the gifts out!

Agreed. Their food is very good and the service is excellent.

The St. James in Mineola has a private room with consistently good food. Davenport is a good option too.
