Newmarket Area Funeral HELP!

Hi everyone. Recently my uncle died and I've been tasked with a lot of the preparation in a city I don't know (I live in Toronto, he lived in Newmarket, the only place I know in Newmarket is his place). I'm trying to organize, on short notice, a sit down meal for 20-30 people after the service. I'm hoping someone can point me to a restaurant that can accommodate large groups, isn't too obnoxious (loud rap music or a sports bar would not be appropriate), and is reasonably priced. If you know they offer a prix fixe menu for large groups, that's bonus, but not required.

It doesn't have to be particularly fancy, but service should be reasonable and allow for at least a decent atmosphere. Proximity to Queen and Main is a BIG bonus. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

Have just moved to Newmarket myself but the Cachet Restaurant certainly looks nice. It overlooks Fairy Lake where Main and Water Street meet. They probably have a website. I think this would be close for you.

There is an italian place on Leslie, just north of Davis Drive, on the west side. Can't remember the name, but there was a private room, and the food was great.

I was there a few years ago for a holiday lunch.

There is the Crow's nest, which is a nice lovely cozy restaurant, that serves pub food. Not loud or obnoxious at all. They have an upstairs room, that would be good for your large group.

There is also Chinook in Aurora. Fresh market cuisine, and nice atmosphere. http://www.chinookrestaurant.ca/

        Hope that helps!
