Best Jewish corn rye bread in Brooklyn

I am a ex New Yorker currently living and cooking in Santa Fe. The thing I miss most are the breads. A friend who lives in Brooklyn is coming to visit at Thanksgiving and I asked him to bring us a proper Jewish corn rye. I have been gone a while and don't have any ideas which bakeries are still standing. Any suggestions? I would also love a raisin pumpernickle bread. Thanks for your suggestions

  1. 13th ave from 36th st to New Utrech has numerous places. Korn's bakery 13th ave, google for numerous locations, is one I regularly purchase at.

Coney Is ave near ave J also has a few good bakeries nearby.

actually...the one you want is on j and east 12th: ostrevitsky's - have them double bag it and squeeze out the air for the trip back.
