Spots to hit in Western Addition / Nopa area
My wife and I just moved from Brooklyn to San Francisco, specifically Western Addition just east of Divis. Our pots and pans haven't arrived yet, so we'll be eating out every night for a little while. We've tried Nopa (good but not breathtaking), Godzilla (better sushi than most cheap places back in NY) and Green Chile Kitchen (tasty and filling) for dinner, and Apollo for coffee. Can anyone out there recommend other must-try places or old stand-bys in our neighborhood? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Little Star for amazing deep dish pizza.
Fly Bar for very good thin crust pizza and a bargain happy hour.
I actually prefer Waziema to Assab. Great happy hour too.
The KK Cafe (worst name ever) is a little-known gem at Divisadero and Haight that serves delicious burgers with homemade patties (I think they mix cumin in) with homemade peanut milk.
King Foot Subs has good Korean-influenced subs.
Thai Place II has excellent affordable Thai food.
Little Chihuahua for an organic taqueria.
Matching Half Cafe for excellent coffee made with love.
Candybar has varied greatly in quality depending on the pastry chef. Ever since their former one left for Thermidor, I've been disappointed. The drinks are still fantastic though, definitely go during happy hour.
Ziryab for good hookah, outdoor seating, middle eastern food.

Bar Crudo for fresh seafood (and a great happy hour)
I actually prefer Nopalito over Nopa
I've heard the Kung Fu Taco truck sets up outside Candybar on some evenings but haven't tracked it down yet
Mini Bar is dog friendly, offers $4 Pliny the Elder bottles on Tuesday nights and allows you to bring food in (conveniently located across the street from Little Star)-----

Assab: Geary and Collins. First class Eritrean food. Particularly good for vegetarians, but the meat dishes are also very well done.
Oasis Cafe: Divisadero and McAllister. A new sandwich shop that's surprisingly good. Try the BBQ chicken sandwich.
