Know the Spot but Forget the Name -SoHo

There is/was a very pleasant place on the SE corner of Prince and Mott run by a charming Dutch woman; I thought it was called "Country" but a chow-search brings up nothing. Have I got the name wrong, or has it closed and been resurrected as something else?

[This is for a recommend to a friend looking for a quiet, romantic spot -assuming it's under new management, might it still fit that bill?]

EDIT: of course, I ought to have said NoLita, not Soho -sorry.

      Or Cafe Gitane, I think.

Phil, check out Google Maps so you can get the street view.

That's gotta be the place. It did close a while ago. Something else is going into that space but it isn't open yet.

Yes, it was the Kitchen Club and yes, it's closed. Too bad -a nice place.
That corner has to be a license for any business to print money, though, I'd have thought.

Thanks for recommending google street view, btw: i'd never played with it before.
