Lebanese Butcher -- Closed due to fire

A fire ripped through the building complex that houses Lebanese Butcher on September 25. News reports suggest that the building may be a total loss. Happily, the Lebanese Butcher's owners seem interested in reopening elsewhere in Falls Church, and Falls Church officials seem interested in facilitating this.

I hope that they're able to reopen and soon. The butcher side of the business is a real asset to the community --- their lamb and sausages both rock, and the restaurant has been the site of a number of very happy meals.

The head butcher at the Lebanese Butcher told me they hope to re-open within 3-4 weeks in the little strip mall across from Halaco on Hillwood Avenue.

Thanks so much for the heads up! I was running along to the butcher place for my usual weekly shopping and for some much-missed Baklavas and the whole place was a wreck! I was so worried! so thanks again!

That explains the high fence surrounding the property. I saw that last night on my way home from work.
