Need a resteraunt suggestion for a vegatarian.
OK. So here is the deal. Girlfriends birthday soon, she is vegetarian. I crave meat.
She does however love cheese and such, so I'm not looking for vegan options.
What would be some options for restaurants in the downtown area?
I was looking at Susur's before I noticed they have closed and not removed their website.
Looking to spend up to 100/person plus wine.
Willing to try any style food.
First post here. So let's see how it goes.

I've done my share of dating vegetarians; but like you I can not do without meat.
My favorite place to take a vegetarian is Colborne Lane; call or e mail a day ahead, and they'll do a vegetarian tasting for her. I believe it is $120 for the tasting; I also like their wine pairings. It's a 10 course tasting, but for some reason they include the amuse as part of the tasting.
My ex loved Canoe; I believe it was $100 pp for our tasting menu there earlier this year. I believed I called ahead for that one as well. For me, the food was delicious, but it didn't think it is worth being called Toronto's best.
As someone else mentioned, George...I've always had great experiences there...they've cleaned my car as it was snowing once, didn't know until I was leaving. I haven't gone in a while, but The Corner House was very accomadating with us. Since you were looking at Susur before, how about Lee? It's menu is extremely vegetarian friendly, but it may not have the wow factor you're looking for. Finally, L.A.B and Grace are two other restaurants that are veggie friendly that i liked.
Good eats!

I would take her to George restaurant. They even have a $75 vegetarian tasting menu.
