Private Dining Rooms for 25-30 - Rehersal Dinner

Hey Everyone,

I am getting married in San Francisco (in the city), and am starting to look into restaurants for our Rehersal Dinner. We want to have it somewhere with a private room and great food. My fiancee and I are both big foodies (currently live in NYC, but she is from San Fran area), and many of our friends/family are big food lovers. Would love some recommendations of great restaurants that have a private room available.

Some initial thoughts (and I would love some feed back) are:
- Boulevard (we have eaten at Boulevard a few times, but never in the private L'Avenue, I assume it is same kitchen)
- RN74 - never eaten there, any thoughts?
- First Crush?
- Fleur de Lys (how private is the semi-private salon that can hold 24)

Open to any other ideas too!

Thanks

  1. We had ours upstairs at The Waterfront. Not nearly as "foodie" as some of your other choices, but for out of towners you really can't beat the view. Plus, the food/seafood is really lovely and fresh. They were very accomodating also.

Thanks, I will add that to the list of ones to check out.

    2. MUCH more casual than what you have found so far, but I did my rehearsal dinner at Pauline's Pizza (CA pizza place, most ingredients grown in their gardens in Berkeley/Marin etc) and I haven't stopped hearing about it. People seemed to like the casual vibe, though our wedding was pretty formal so I think the juxtoposition is what made it work. The food was good, the space is upstairs to the restaurant so completely private and very sunny and conducive to mingling.
