Downtown Restaurant Suggestion for Anniversary

Having an anniversary with my girlfriend - Looking for something new downtown for dinner. We eat out quite a bit but was looking to the boards for any under the radar suggestions? Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

I have heard Mermaid Inn is very good for food. My bf took me to Raoul's which was nice. I don't know what you consider downtown, but I also like the atmosphere of Olives and Japonais (around USQ). Sala 19 in Flatiron is one of my favs, they have a downtown location but not sure if it is as good. I just visited a place called La Esquina downtown--it is a taco restaurant on top, but actually has a very romantic underground Spanish restaurant, very hip, classy/swanky and hidden.
