place for a drink on a Friday afternoon in River North, Loop or Mag Mile
Hi hounds,
Meeting some old college friends in Chicago on Friday afternoon. We're staying at a hotel off Michigan Avenue and having dinner at Topolobampo. Where's a fun place to go for a drink and some fun people watching in any of the following areas: Mag Mile, River North, Loop?

It may depend on what time on Friday- but here are a few places I just suggested in another post. The Drawing Room for example though doesn't open until 6pm I think, so that might be out.

Other ideas- if it's nice weather a rooftop bar would be fun- there's Roof at the Wit, which is a pretty hot spot for cocktails, there's a terrace at the Conrad hotel, Zed 451, or if you just want something casual and some beer- there's the Rock Bottom Brewery. If you'd rather have wine, you could also go to Bin 36, which has lots of wine flights, which is a fun way to sample different things.
