Sunday night dinner

Hi NY Hounds,

My nephew is playing a recital at St. Thomas Episcopalian on 5th Ave on a Sunday in December. A number of family members will be traveling to NY to attend and we'd like to go to dinner afterward (the recital is at 5 pm, so not late). We have a couple of vegetarians in the group. Any suggestions for a mid range (not too sure what that means in Manhattan) restaurant with good food that could also have some nice vegetarian options.

Rouge Tomate has some really fresh and unique vegetarian options in Midtown (on 60th & 5th) although it is pricey. Otherwise, if you check out Veggiescoop, it will give you some other options

There will be 5 people (as of now) and our budget per person for food only would be maximum of $30 to $35. We can travel but would prefer to stay relatively midtown. Thanks.

What is your budget per person for food only(drinks obviously will vary and tax and tip will be close to 30% of the total)? How many people will be attending? How far are you willing to travel from St. Thomas (which is around 53 St. I believe)?
