What's your latest food quest?

As the heading indicates, I'm wondering what the hounds would suggest as the best restaurant for a memorial gathering. I guess a private room, excellent food and drinks with professional service are important. And one factor that I've never included in a CH post before, this will be a price is not a concern occasion. As far as the bill goes, this will be a spare no expense, the sky's the limit grand send off! I'm not too concerned about the area as long as the venue is special!

Have you considered something like Spago in Beverly Hills or the Montage http://www.montagebeverlyhills.com/ or the Peninsula http://www.peninsula.com/Beverly_Hill... Hotel?

The garden at Michaels is lovely. We went to a private event on a Sunday night (when the restaurant is closed) and the food, service and setting were wonderful.
