Restaurants near the De Young?

My mother and I love to get together to see the latest exhibits at the De Young, but we’re both weary of the museum’s café. So I’m looking for recs in the Golden Gate park area for Saturday & Sunday late lunches or early dinners. Suggestions for all cuisines are welcome, as long as it's delicious, the atmosphere is genuinely pleasant and it's not crazy-expensive.

Just visited our daughter who lives on Lincoln Way and had dinner at two local places that were both great. One was Marnee Thai (already mentioned here) and the other was Ebisu (Japanese obviously). Both are in the first block south of the park.

An early dinner on Saturday at The Richmond would be a safe bet for you and your mom after Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne, and Beyond: Post-Impressionist Masterpieces from the Musée d’Orsay and the textiles in To Dye For: A World Saturated in Color.

Highly recommend Park Chow just south of the park. A little bit of everything, seasonable offerings, and organic whenever possible. Tends to be a low key atmosphere and the prices are reasonable IMO.

Moss Room in the California Academy of Science is your best bet. Fun atmosphere. Interesting food and drink in a beautiful room.
