How long does the Per Se 9-course tasting take?

  • 5

I'm sorry if this is redundant! I did a search and there are just so many posts on Per Se (and some very strong opinions as well), but I couldn't find an answer to this specific question. I have a 10 o'clock reservation on a Friday night. Will I still be sitting at my table at 3 o'clock in the morning? I've heard the tasting menu can take five hours.

What about the tasting menu at Jean-Georges? Eleven Madison? I know the relative merits of these three restaurants have been compared on these boards a thousand times - I just want to know how they compare in terms of meal duration!

Thanks in advance!

  1. I would say 3 to 3.5hours is about right though I have never had a reservation that late.

    1. With the new menu, my dinner at EMP lasted 3.5 hours.

      1. been 4+ for me on the few occasions i've been. 2:15am seems a bit late for dessert and coffee!

Ours took about 3.5, but we didn't linger much. A friend who had a 10pm res left at 2am, but he did do a tour of the kitchen, etc.
