Salt Lake City -- dinner options near Hilton at 255 South West Temple

Will be staying here for two nights next week and looking for good, but casual and non-chain dinner options near the hotel.

All cuisines are fine, not concerned about cost, but want casual atmosphere and good quality food.

Walking distance from the hotel would be great, but can cab it if needed.

In a beer and maybe brats mood? The Beerhive is within walking distance. They have a dizzying selection of beers (including an ice rail in the bar to keep them cold) and their menu is from Vienna Bistro next door, one of the best places in town. I spent 3 months touring Germany earlier this year, and Chef Frody's offerings are a more than reasonable substitute.

If you want to have the best sushi west of the Mississippi, you have got to go to Takashi on Market Street. Definitely walkable from your hotel. It is extraordinarily good.
