Suggestions by Miami airport

Im going to be staying at the embassy suites by Miami airport, and need some places for good chow real close, I have a car, but am taking a seminar so for lunch or dinner after, if possible. Any type of food, just bring em on!

Also a big fan of food trucks, any good ones in this area?

Pretty close to the airport I always recommend Versailles (especially if you've never been to Miami before). It really is a local "institution" and definitely worth going to. Also, the Gables is not too far and has many good choices.

There is an excellent italian restaurant.....run by italian argentenians....called Basilico....it's on NW 36th Street.....which is the northern bordering street of MIA......It's in a strip mall....but don't let the fool you.....The food there is first rate......5 minutes from Embassy Suites......
