My wife and I are going to be spending seven days in Williamsburg and area the first week of October and would like to have recommendations for great Italian, great pubs, or steak houses where food quality and service is important. If per chance there's better than average seafood or oriental we'd love to hear about that also. Thanks.

If you are looking for something outside of the tourist area....then a little outside of Williamsburg, 10 miles, towards Richmond, in Toano, Virginia is great place.....Dudley's....small old farm house, 40 seats .....we had two tasty starters of shrimp bisque and fried oysters on a bed of fresh spiced corn then a blackened red snapper over the same excellent fried oysters. Great wine selection. Jimmy should have his new fall menu up and going by then.
