Nuns and their pumpkin bread

Despite living in Beachwood for 5 years, I only just got turned on to the pumpkin bread made by the nuns at the Monastery of the Angels (bad choice of words...not sure "turned on" and "nuns" should go in the same sentence).

I picked up a loaf for $7 this morning, and it's almost all gone. Delicious, and worth the steep price. Thanks to the posters here who recommended it.

  1. although the pumpkin bread is good, I really love their candies and chocolates.
And the box is pretty enough - nice gift place.

Just wanted to say "halo" and here is the good sister's web site (g).

          Link: http://www.op-stjoseph.org/nuns/angels/

        2. Yummy! Thanks for this tip! AWESOME! I went today and it is better then you could describe!

          1. Hello! I just wanted to post this up front to remind people how totally amazing this is and what a great gift to bring someone! If you have a party to go to, bring them some pumpkin bread! I tell you, I have gone several times in one week because I can't help but eat it all, it is that good!

            1. Pumpkin bread is fine, but I am all about their chocolates. Nun candy has no peer, and the box is quite pretty, great for a gift.

              1. Thanks, all, for reminding me about this.

Do they have the pumpkin bread year-'round? Does anyone know their approximate hours on Saturdays? Do they have any other items for sale about this holiday time of the year?

                1. liu -- check out their website for info.

We had company on H weekend, and served a slice of the pumpkin bread all warmed up with vanilla ice-cream over, everyone was in heaven! Perfect for dessert, gifts, brunch... it really is that good!

Silverlaker -- I must have missed their website the first time. I returned to find answers to all my questions:

Mon thru Sat: 8:30AM to 5:00PM
They do have a Holiday Boutique from November until Christmas.

There is a photo of their gift shop on their website and it looks quite interesting. If you don't deplete their supply, I will try their pumpkin bread this weekend...thanks!
