pgucd Sep 21, 2010 09:31 AM

Anyone have suggestions for a great place?
Im looking for a place that serves great sushi with simple rolls. Im not into all that mayo, cream cheese, tempura.....
Just plain but delicious.

I live in Mill Valley and Sushi Ran in near-by Sausalito is really, really good. Lots of options, many classics and impeccable fish.

as i mentioned in the other thread, geta. btw, why lock the thread that has a response not related to the bay area?

You'll get more responses if you express at least the part of the bay area you're interested in, and the price range (if $100/pp is fine, the list is short and sweet).

What's interesting is I can't find much in searches either. I don't think we've been talking sushi that much over the last year.

Here's some threads to get you started

If you want pure raw fish (sashimi or nigiri), then any discussion about Bay Area sushi restaurants must include Sakae Sushi in Burlingame. Its sister restaurant, Yuzu, is also deserving of praise (and slightly, slightly easier on the wallet).
