Costa Rica: Central Pacific Side

I am going to Costa Rica this Winter and was looking for any recommendations for must go to restaurants and foodie spots (markets etc.).

I am centralized around Jaco but am hoping to travel around the surrounding area, perhaps to Manuel Antonio.

If anyone has any suggestions let me know! Thanks

On your way to Manuel Antonio you go through the town of Quepos. Stop at El Gran Escape. It's a bar/restaurant. The food is great.

I've been to that area three times in the past five years. It's a beautiful country, but the food down there doesn't generally knock my socks off. I can say that I've had two meals there that were pretty memorable, however.

El Galeon, which is just a couple of miles from Jaco next to the Marriott Los Suenos marina: http://www.lsrestaurants.com/galeon/aboutgaleon.html

Kapi Kapi in Manuel Antionio: http://www.restaurantekapikapi.com/

Funny you mention El Galeon, I have been there and agree it is a great meal/experience. Bit I did find it was geared toward the tourists. I aim to find some amazing local gems (markets included).
