"Golden Pillows" in SoCal?
Watching the Top Chef finale in Singapore brought back pleasant memories of my one visit there about ten years ago. Specifically, I started feeling very nostalgic for this amazing thing I had there that I've never had or seen anywhere else that I think was called a golden pillow - chicken curry baked inside a loaf of bread? You would tear off pieces of the bread and dip them in the curry and use them to scoop up pieces of the chicken. It was SO GOOD. Is this wonderful thing available anywhere in Southern California? I would love to have it again.

Dang. Remind me to check back-that sounds amazing!

I've never seen it in L.A., but even if you did find it wouldn't necessarily be very good. Had it once in Malaysia and it was just meh.

Closest thing would be the Chicken Curry Pie that New Capital offers during dim sum.
Not bread, but curry chicken baked inside of a pastry crust and shaped like a calzone.
